SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AT HILLTOPPERS, Inc.
OUR GOAL is to assist our Supported Employment service recipients in obtaining meaningful employment.
JOB DEVELOPMENT: Service recipients are supported by a job coach in locating a job of their interest, in doing practice interviews, in applying and interviewing for the job, training for the job and maintaining the job.
JOB PLACEMENT: The employment specialist will train or support the person on the job and provide support to answer questions, along with other training to ensure that the service recipient understands all aspects of the job.
JOB COACHING: An Employment Specialist or Job Coach supports both the employer and the service recipient by assisting and supporting the person in all aspects of the job. They can assist with job tasks, such as clocking in/out and socializing with customers and/or other employees and by helping the company develop a position for the person desiring employment. The employment specialist assists the employee and employer in training needs, remaining at the employment site until the employee and the employer are comfortable and the correct supports are in place. The specialist then makes contacts only as needed, but a minimum of two contacts per month.
FOLLOW ALONG: Long term support for employed service recipients and their employers.
TRANSPORTATION to and from work.
